How to Play Quintix
- Type a real 5-letter word using your keyboard or the on-screen keys, then press Enter.
- Each tile in your guess changes color to give you a clue about the secret word.
- Use those clues to narrow things down, then keep guessing until you find the word or run out of tries.
- You have 6 guesses total to solve each puzzle.
What the tile colors mean
- Green — the letter is correct and in the right spot.
- Yellow — the letter is in the word, but in a different spot.
- Gray — the letter isn't in the word at all.
In the example above, A is in the correct position, C and E belong somewhere else in the word, and R and N don't appear in it. The on-screen keyboard updates with the same colors as you play, so you can always see which letters you've already tried.

Does the word change every day?
Yes. The Daily Puzzle uses a new secret word every day at midnight UTC, and everyone who plays that day gets the exact same word, so you can compare results with friends.
How do I share my results?
After you finish a puzzle, tap the Share Result button. Quintix copies a spoiler-free grid of colored emoji squares plus your score to your clipboard, ready to paste into a chat, text, or social post.
What do the tile colors mean?
